Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Cassandra, but you can call me Cass. I currently reside in Strakonice, the Czech Republic, but I am originally from Salem, Oregon. I consider myself a true Oregonian because I love to hike, backpack, ski, go to the beach, and even go out in the rain. I also love to read, watch movies with my friends, and bake (chocolate chip cookies are my favorite, but I also love chocolate cake)!

I am 22 years old and just graduated from Oberlin College, where I majored in Creative Writing and Theater and minored in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies and Comparative American Studies. Before I started college in Ohio, I traveled to Costa Rica, Prague, and Ireland. I spent a lot of time traveling around the U.S and throughout Europe. I absolutely love to travel, whether it is on a road trip across the country or to an international vacation spot. This year, I am thrilled to travel as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA). The program matched me with a secondary school in the Czech Republic that was looking for an American English teacher, and I am so excited to be here and work with the students. Strakonice is a small town, but I am ecstatic to share it and the rest of the Czech Republic with all of you! Let the adventure begin!
