When I visited Llanes, another town in Asturias, this past weekend, I got to sit along the coast and stare out into the Cantabrian Sea. The coast of this town is known for its limestone rock formations, specifically bufones (blowholes) that cause the water to shoot into the air. Watching the waves hit the jagged rocks of the cliffs and shoot into the air was honestly more entertaining than any television show I watched this week.
In other nature news from this week, snow has begun to fall in the mountains! Oviedo, the town where I live, is located in the Cantabrian Mountains. When I run in the park, I can see snow high up in the mountains. It is not cold enough where I am to have snow, but seeing the snow-capped mountains reminds me of scenes from my favorite movies!
