The coolest thing I saw in nature this week were the rice fields along my daily walk. Early in the morning, the light hits the fields softly and the green stretches out even farther. The air feels quieter and everything moves more slowly. Rice fields change throughout the year, depending on the season. Sometimes they are bright green and full of life, and at other times, they are dry and waiting to be planted again. Walking past them daily helps me see those changes gradually happen.
This week, nature felt steady and familiar. The days followed a predictable rhythm of warm mornings, hot afternoons and quiet evenings. Trees provide shade and people gather beneath them during breaks and after school.
