It is a town with deep historical significance and is one of the oldest areas of settlement in Cambodia. Visiting Angkor Borei was different from my usual routine. The area connects present-day life with Cambodia’s ancient past, reminding me that history isn’t just something in books. It exists in real places people still live and move through today.
This week reminded me that travel in Cambodia doesn't always mean going far. Most movement happens between my house, school and the wat. Small trips feel meaningful because I'm slowing down and mostly walking everywhere. Staying closer to home helps me notice what is occurring around me and my daily life.
