Hello! My name is Chandler Vaughan, and I am a student at Elon University. I am 21 years old and hail from Charlotte, NC by way of Baltimore, MD. I visited Canada and Mexico as a child with my parents, but prior to college, I had never been overseas. I really wanted to study abroad in college, regardless of my major. I decided to major in policy studies with minors in poverty & social justice and leadership.
My sophomore year, I was blessed to receive entrance to the Arts, Activism, and Social Justice Fulbright Program in Bristol, England. There, I learned a lot about the effects of colonization within education and its impact on self identity, which inspired me to seek a study abroad program that would allow me to travel to various countries and see how different people live. I traveled to Japan, Vietnam, Mauritius, and South Africa, and I look forward to sharing my adventures and new-found lessons with you!
