I live with two other girls, both galician (galegas), and I get along well with them. They speak exclusively in galego to each other, and when I come into the room, we all switch to castellano (Spain-Spanish). Galician sounds a lot like a mixture of Portuguese and Spanish—more on that theme later :)
Overall, I love my job here in Lugo and I am very content with the Spanish pace and style of life. I hope you all got a good taste of my normal workweek, which isn’t all that different from being a student.
