Today the temperature is 83 degrees Fahrenheit. It is cloudy outside and the air is humid. Most places in Ecuador are hot year round because it is a country that sits on the equator, or the imaginary line that separates the northern and southern hemispheres. Instead of having four seasons as we do in America, Ecuador only has two. The wet season, or rainy season, lasts from December to May. It is hotter and sunnier, yet it rains pretty often. Right now, Ecuador is in the dry season, which stretches from June to September, which means little to no rain and more cloudy and windy days. It has been cloudy with temperatures in the mid 80's all week.
I saw many stray dogs and cats. The stray animals are not afraid to come close to people. They are usually very calm, so they are treated well and fed often. I also saw iguanas and horses when I visited the beach.
