Hi! My name is Christine, and this year I will be living and teaching on the island of Taiwan. I am very interested in international human rights and immigration work, which means that I help those who are most in need around the world to regain their rights and safely travel between countries. I do this by providing lingual translations for them, which means I turn their foreign words into English ones so that they can access American help for foreigners. I also work on expanding people's access to education and I teach other about American culture.
For school, I received my Bachelor's degree (BSc) from the University of Connecticut, where I studied business, international affairs, human rights, and women's rights. I also studied international law at Oxford University in England and I will be starting law school at Cornell University when I return from Taiwan. In my free time, I enjoy traveling. I also like crocheting, and my favorite item to crochet is a bunny. What are some things you like to do for fun?
I'm so excited to show you Taiwan through my eyes and (hopefully) inspire you to have abroad adventures of your own!
