Feral cats eat many different things on my island to survive. I have seen or heard of them eating mice, bugs and even fruit that falls to the ground from trees. Many cats live near buildings and use the sides of them for shelter if it rains. Some of my neighbors leave food for cats that live outside near their apartments.
Pets are well taken care of, but the feral cats sometimes have to fend for themselves. Since the cats sometimes depend on humans for food, they need them around, but if humans keep building on Jeju Island it may affect the feral cat population. I am not worried about this though, because many Jeju islanders care about nature and protest a lot if too many businesses or homes are being built.
