Food in Antarctica

Since the boat can't dump any waste, it has to store it. And since it would go bad if stored for too long, my boat actually did something pretty amazing. It would take all the food waste, and mix it with the waste from the cabins (read: bathrooms) and burn it in a special engine that turned it into what's called biochar, a kind of charcoal that works really well as a soil fertilizer. It also keeps carbon inside it, which helps fight global warming. And since global warming is one of the biggest threats to Antarctica, I guess the food is connected to the local environment after all!
