Daily Life of a Teen in Ulaanbaatar

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I take the bus to get to school. Yes, I am allowed to go by myself.

 

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

For lunch I sometimes go to the school cafeteria or to a CU or GS25. CU and GS25 are names of convenience stores. My favorite food is chocolate cake.  

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Mongolian at school.  Hello in Mongolian is Сайн байна уу (pronounced “sain bain uu").

 

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Some common kids' names are Maral, Margad, Mukhagal, Bat and Bolor.

 

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

I study chemistry, math, physics, Mongolian, English, biology, health, physical eduation, history, social science, ethics, Mongolian traditional script, technology/computer, geometry, architecture and design technology. My favorite subject is English.

What is your homework like?:

There is a lot of homework. My homework depends on the topic covered in class. Homework is not hard but not easy, it's in the middle.

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

I usually go home after school. I like to play Mobile Legends (a online game) and sudoku. I don’t really like sports but I like to play volleyball or tennis.
