Because this winter has been exceptionally rainy in Ireland, sometimes the trains have been stopped due to unusual flooding, so it’s been easier to rely on cars.
The most interesting place I visited this week was the European Parliament, specifically the Hemicycle, the room where the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) meet. MEPs are the 720 elected officials from across the EU who serve in the European Parliament, the EU's lawmaking body. The Hemicycle is a large, semicircular debating chamber used for plenary sessions (meetings attended by all MEPs). Its design emphasizes visibility, discussion and democratic debate.
No, I don’t have any other travel news this week. I’m now fully focused on preparing for midterm exams, immersed in notes, revising and study sessions. (Revising is a British English term for “studying.") Any travel plans are currently on hold; academic priorities demand my full attention before leisure can resume.
