The week I went to Mbour/Joal Fadiouth. I traveled 121 km (75 miles), but since I'm actually in the U.S. right now, I have traveled about 4,000 miles by air to NYC, then drove to conferences in Virginia and Tennessee (about 1,450 miles round-trip!).
I've been back and forth to Senegal three times in the last year, so I've flown about 24,000 miles total.
I traveled to Mbour/Joal-Fadiouth mostly by car.
Easily the most interesting was the home of Bombardier. His real name is Serigne Usman Dia, but his nicknames of "B-52" and "Bombardier" signal the "bombs" he drops with his fists.
Looking forward to getting back to Senegal and to returning to Mbour/Joal-Fadiouth.
