Hi! My name is Damaris, and I’m 20 years old. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and growing up in such a diverse city gave me a deep appreciation for different cultures and traditions. Currently, I’m majoring in Media Studies at Vassar College in upstate New York. There, I developed a strong interest in publicity and news media, especially how stories are shaped, who gets to tell them, and how media influences the way we understand the world.
Now, I’m studying abroad for a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina! Being here has been especially exciting because of the city’s strong cinema tradition and its long history of political activism. It’s inspiring to experience media and culture in a place that is so artistically rich and politically engaged. I'm excited to share my journey with you all!
