I haven't traveled very far this week since I mostly traveled back and forth between my apartment and my university campus. Since it's so cold, I've taken the bus. My weekly mileage by bus is about 15 miles.
Since I arrived in Finland, I've traveled thousands of miles! Just to get to Jyväskylä from Pennsylvania, it's about 4,500 miles. From Finland, I've traveled to London, England, Stockholm, Sweden and Tallinn, Estonia. I've probably traveled about 16,000 miles so far by train, plane, ferry and bus.
I took the bus and walked.
I visited a Finnish choir concert where five different choir groups performed songs. Although most songs were in Finnish, one group performed a Beatles song that I recognized.
I was invited to the choir concert by my Finnish host family. My host family volunteered to show me Finnish culture and language while I help their 10-year-old daughter learn English.
