Welcome to my journey in Copenhagen! I am originally from Rochester, New York, and graduated University of Rochester with a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Humanities. I played tennis in college and love to garden and cook.
Now, as my first time living away from my hometown, I am in Copenhagen as a guest researcher. I study chemistry and materials for sustainability reactions. When I am not inside of my laboratory making new materials, I can usually be found at the Studenterhust, or student house, as a volunteer barista. I love to make coffee and socialize with other students from all over the world at the Studenterhuset. Additionally, I love to ride my bike around Copenhagen, cook new recipes with my roommates (who are from France, Finland and Spain), or play board games, such as Catan, with my friends. Copenhagen has also been a wonderful home base for me to explore the other countries of Europe. This past school year, I have been able to visit Germany, France, and the Czech Republic. I look forward to visiting more countries this spring. Leaving the United States was scary, but I am so excited to share my journey and growth during my exchange with you!
