I'm a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities, driven by personal experience and academic research. A native of Southern California, I began my journey by studying the challenges faced by people with disabilities, which has led me to focus on improving educational and social opportunities for marginalized communities.
Currently, I'm serving as a Fulbright Fellow in Cambodia and working to develop extracurricular programs and raise awareness about the rights and needs of people with disabilities. My goals are to foster an inclusive environment for youth, especially those who have been excluded from education due to societal prejudices. Through this initiative, I hope to collaborate with local communities, including government agencies and NGOs, to create sustainable change.
After my Fulbright project, I plan to pursue seminary studies with a focus on disability ministry while also preparing for medical school to further my advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Through the Fulbright experience, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of healthcare systems in a different cultural and socioeconomic setting, which will significantly shape my approach to patient care and medical advocacy. By bridging faith-based initiatives with medical expertise, I aim to improve accessibility, healthcare, and quality of life for individuals with physical and mental challenges, ensuring a more inclusive and hopeful future.
