When I have nothing planned, I take a sunset walk and enjoy a cozy evening at home, playing board games with my husband. We take turns making dinner, and once a week, we eat out. Lately, our favorite spot has been Royal Tandoori Indian Food. Spanish food is delicious, but it’s not always heavily seasoned, so this restaurant satisfies our occasional craving for spice!
My days in Vilagarcía de Arousa follow a steady rhythm, blending work, community, and personal time. Life here moves at a different pace than what I was used to, but I’ve come to appreciate its balance—busy yet unhurried, structured yet flexible. Whether I’m teaching, learning, running, or simply soaking in a quiet moment by the sea, each day brings something new to appreciate. As the sun sets over the Atlantic, I’m reminded of how special it is to call this place home, even if only for a little while.
