Delicious Eats in London!

Introduction:

Since studying abroad, I have been told to try all the food they have to offer. At every new place, my friends and I have tried to eat something new. Fortunately, I’ve been able to try a diverse variety of food I haven’t tried before, with some options also available in the U.S. There are so many foods that have been around for so long that many people miss out on them while traveling here.

What food did I try?:

The first food I tried, which I had never had before in the U.S., was the Paella in Borough Market. Paella, a dish of Spanish origin, is a mix of seafood, rice and chicken cooked on a giant pan called a paellera. The paella in Borough Market has been around for two decades, and it's one of the most popular dishes here. You might have heard of Borough Market for its other foods, including the chocolate strawberries, which are some of the best I’ve tried.

Did you know that London also has a famous pastry that dates back all the way to 1809? The sausage roll is a pastry filled with sausage and seasonings similar to pigs-in-a-blanket, but way larger. They have them everywhere around London, but the best one I’ve had is actually at my university, here in one of our cafes.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

When I first tried the paella, I was shocked at how delicious it was.
