Hola! Hello! My name is Dimend Little. I am a 20-year-old Nashville native studying International Relations with a minor in Spanish at Middle Tennessee State University. As an International Relations student, I learn about how the world works and how culture and politics (government) interact. It should be easy to see why I'm so excited to travel across the Atlantic Ocean to spend a semester in the heart of Spain! While in Madrid, I hope to meet people from different places around the world, sample Spanish food, and continue to improve my Spanish language skills by talking with and listening to native Spanish speakers. I also love riding horses, and with luck I'll get to ride in Spain, too! I am excited to share my adventures with you all and cannot wait to meet you!
I am proud to be both a Fund for Education Abroad scholarship recipient and a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship recipient. The mission of the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study abroad population. The Gilman Scholarship is a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
