The sounds of laughter and merriment can be heard as friends and families wish each other well and pray together to celebrate Diwali. This is what Diwali looks, sounds and smells like in Malaysia. While traditions associated with Diwali are not directly connected to the environment, the celebration of Diwali changes the atmosphere of the city, altering the environment in which it is observed and bringing the city to life and to light!
