The weather this week has been very volatile, from a high of 72 degrees to a low of 16. It was sunny the past few days, rainy today, and it will snow tomorrow. Luckily, I recently bought a thick felt jacket to keep me warm. I am excited for the snowy season, though, because that means my friends and I can go snowboarding!
The only animals I saw this week were cats and birds. There are lots of stray cats in Kyrgyzstan. Some local shops and businesses leave out food for the cats. Throwing away food here is culturally discouraged, so some families leave out leftover meat or bread for the animals. Many families also have outdoor cats (which come home to eat and sleep), which can easily be mistaken for stray cats.
