Traveler Bio

Konnichiwa (Hello)! My name is Elida Orozco-Sanchez, but you can call me YuJin. I am 21 years old and a senior in college. I am a first-generation Mexican-American and can speak both Spanish and English, but I am also studying to learn Japanese. Knowing three languages will make me trilangual!

I love to draw in my free time, study Japanese, and watch YouTube and TV shows (especially animated shows, which are my favorite). I discovered and fell in love with Anime when I was in middle school, which is what got me into drawing and learning Japanese. Because of that, it made me also want to visit Japan some day or maybe even study there, but because I never had a "good" reason or money to actually go, I stopped thinking about it. That is, until I got to college!

In college, my major is management with a focus on international business administration. I'm also minoring in marketing and Japanese. Because of my major, I had to study abroad or else I wouldn’t be able to graduate. I was really scared and anxious about it, but because I was also studying Japanese, I thought it was the perfect opportunity and excuse to finally study abroad and visit a country I always wanted to visit since I was young!

I'm so excited to share my journey abroad with you. I hope I can inspire more people to want to travel abroad, too!
