I am proud of how far I've come, both metaphorically and physical, and still lots more traveling left to do.
I usually take the subway system, called U Bahn, which is exceptionally efficient and sufficient to get me everywhere in the city.
I visited a small, gorgeous town in Southern Germany called Kurort Rathen. The small town featured a gorgeous hike up mountains surrounded by water, trees and an incredibly beautiful view of the area burried in the mountains.
This past weekend, my homestay family took me on a picnic in a small-but-famous area called Wannsee. The short hike felt nice, the port was gorgeous and I learned so much about the place's historical significance. I visited the house used in the Wannsee Conference in January 1942. Located right on a beautiful waterfront, it is also where major decisions were made to commit atrocities during WWII. It showcases something I've noticed distinctly about Germany: it is filled with beautiful, subtle areas with lots of historical significance.
