After almost four months of living abroad and studying with the Academic Experience in Prague (AEP) program, this is my final week here in Prague. This has been an amazing experience, but I am definitely ready to go home to my friends, family and cats. I learned a lot about myself this semester. For example, I love Baroque architecture, I dislike Czech cheesecake, and I am fully capable of solo traveling around Europe during my time off from school.
Some of the highlights from my time here include learning the Czech language, eating fried cheese, using trams to get all over the city and traveling to Austria, Germany, Poland and all around the Czech Republic. I also have a newfound appreciation for the people back at home who have regularly called, FaceTimed and texted me. Moving across the world to a city where I had never been, didn't speak the language and didn’t know anybody was absolutely terrifying, but since settling in and completing my time abroad, I have gained so much confidence in myself. If I can move to Europe, what can’t I do?!
My advice to you all is to explore!
