My final transmission, friends! It has been really nice getting to know you, and has it has been honor to be a part of your school year. We've had an incredible journey together trying fufu, cooking with no power and now saying goodbye. C'est tellement triste! (It's so sad!) Thank YOU for all of your help this year and for your courage in exploring Togo with me.
I hope Togo was a place that brought you a new perspective on the world. Togo is very different from America, and that's a good thing! I live a life here that many people would never imagine trying and this experience has taught me so much.
Thank you, Mrs. Caputo for this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for the stickers to share with my class, and thank you for your patience and support throughout this journey. Sometimes I had no power for days, and transmissions came in late. Other times I was sick and I didn't have much going on, but I am grateful that you still welcomed my little slice of life.
I still have one more year left in Togo before I return to the United States. When I get back, I am excited to have fast food, grocery stores and seeing my loved ones again. I've actually been sick this week, and the homesickness always hits hardest when I am not feeling well.
