To my friends and compañeros at Romero Academy at Resurrection, thank you for accompanying me on this journey. Like all great things, our trip is coming to an end. While it makes me sad to think that we'll no longer be seeing each other, it has been such a pleasure to write to you about my life, send pictures and articles your way and chat on our video calls. I hope you have enjoyed your Reach The World journey as much as I have.
My time in Guatemala has been so fun and educational and challenging. I have made so many new friends, tried new foods, climbed mountains, swam in volcanic craters, celebrated at the ferias and learned about the rich and beautiful culture here! I also sometimes missed my family, friends and the comforts of home. Chatting with you guys was a highlight in these cold, rainy months; and for that, I am very grateful.
I still have six more months here in Guatemala with the Peace Corps, and after that, the next adventure awaits! However, I'll be heading home to Cincinnati next week to spend some time with family and friends. Make sure to say hello if you see me around!
If any of you are interested in traveling, keep the Peace Corps in mind as you continue your schooling.
