Ciao, ragazzi! Hi, guys! My name is Elizabeth Hall. I am originally from Los Angeles, but I moved to Sacramento, California to study art at Sacramento State University. Sacramento is the capital city of California and has as a strong artist community. I love to paint, draw and make paper collages. My art is inspired by nature, so I mainly paint scenes from nature and portraits. Making beautiful things is fun because it also makes people happy.
Last year, I got the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Italy is known for being the birthplace of the Renaissance, an art movement that changed the world. Living in Florence was like living in a giant art museum. I studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti, the famous school where Michelangelo and other great Italian artists studied. I also studied the Italian language because all of my classes were taught in Italian. I look forward to sharing more about my Italian adventures in the weeks to come!
