I've traveled around a lot of Italy this week! By train alone, I've traveled 609 kilometers (roughly 378 miles)! On 04/26 I went from Florence to Portofino, and then on 04/30 from Portofino to Vicenza. I've also done a lot of walking around the towns I'm staying in, walking around 10,000 steps each day.
Since leaving Oregon, I have traveled around 6,600 miles, or about 10,600 kilometers. First, I flew 5,804 miles (9,340 km) from Portland, OR to Rome, Italy. Then I traveled 662 km (411 miles) between Rome, Florence, Siena, and Bologna. And then this week another 609 km (378 miles). I've traveled quite a distance!
This week I've gotten around either by train or by foot. Within the city I walk rather than drive or take the bus, as most Italian cities are very walkable. When traveling between towns though, I take the train. The trains here are great, very clean and efficient, and move at over 100 miles an hour!
