Sawasdee! Hi! My name is Eloisa Cortinas and I will be studying abroad at Thammasat University in the bustling city of Bangkok, Thailand from January to May. I am 21 years old and originally from Houston, Texas, but for the past three years, I have lived in Austin, where I attend college. I am currently in my third year of studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Austin has many fun outdoor activities, so in between classes and studying, I am usually hiking or paddle boarding with friends. I love to spend time outside!
Because I spend so much time in nature, I care a lot about the environment and combating climate change. I centered my career goals around this and decided to major in supply chain management to help reduce pollution, which is a prominent problem in Thailand. However, Thailand has been taking steps to reduce pollution on a national scale. I hope this experience helps me develop some insight into my personal career goal.
