Traveler Bio

Hello everyone, I am Ember Chandler. I am 30 years old and come from a small town in South Georgia called Blackshear. We are known for our Okefenokee Swamp. My family is one of the first settlers here and you can tour my 6th great uncle Obediah Barbe’s house when you visit. It also has alligators and big trees that grow in the water called Cypress. People like to put the mud from this swamp on their skin to make it soft. How cool is that?

I am also a college student at Georgia Southern University. I study sociology and world languages and cultures, especially Japanese. This means I spend my time learning about people from all over the world and what makes them unique. I know a little Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and English. I’m on a big adventure now called an exchange. An exchange means my school let me go to another school all the way in Japan. In my free time, I spend a lot of my time reading books, listening to music from all over the world, and playing games with my friends like Minecraft, Dungeons and Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering. What do you like to do when you have free time? I hope you will grow to love Japan and learn about cultures as much as I do. Well, till next time everyone, or as they say in Japan, ja mata ne.
