What is it?

Introduction:

I'm going to give you hints about an object, and you have to guess what it is! Can you figure out the correct answer?

Hint, you've seen this before.....

What does this creature or plant look like?:

It grows from the ground and looks very pretty from March to April. It is super popular in Japan. It has a hard body and many "branches" of family.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

Appreciating nature and springtime has been so refreshing. As flowers bloom, they signal that winter has ended and spring has begun. I'm happy and energetic about the new season, except for the allergies, hehe.

Where does it live?:

It lives in the ground and all around Japan. Its "roots" have been in Japan for a long time, maybe even for thousands of years!!!

How does it use its environment to survive?:

It uses carbon dioxide, the sun and rain. It also gets help from insects and the wind to pollinate others of its kind (this is how they make babies...).

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Pollution and the weather getting too hot or too cold (climate change) can be harmful to it.
