It looks abstract, but it's all related to our friendship and/or their personality.
I left New Orleans on February 4th and landed 24 hours later on February 6th. The jetlag was almost unbearable, but I survived. I chose Sydney because it’s a perfect intersection of my interests in culture, media and nature. Sydney is such a vibrant, multicultural city with a rich history of indigenous and immigrant influences, making it the ideal place to study how different narratives intertwine. Plus, Australia’s unique situation as an isolated island in the pacific offers a fresh perspective on globalization. The physical distance from other countries leads to unique trade relationships, national identity and receptiveness to global trends.
I've only been here for three days, and I've already had a wonderful time. I've seen the Sydney Opera House, hung out with my homestay family, met new friends and seen a lot of new flora and fauna. I start classes on February 17th, so I can't wait to meet more new people and start learning! At UNSW I'm taking Intro to Screenwriting, Aboriginal Australia and Social Life of Language. I'll tell y'all all about it soon!
