Hi there! My name is Emily Kreller, and I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up on the outskirts of the city, I loved going on nature walks in the swamp right by my house. I also went to the New Orleans Museum of Art, live music at plenty of festivals, and a lot of crawfish boils. I loved doing those things so much that I decided to go to Tulane University after high school. I changed my major four times before settling on Communication, which means I study how and why information is shared. I decided to study abroad for a semester to see a more global version of communication flows.
Thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, I am able to go to Sydney, Australia. I am so excited to go to Sydney, but I'm also a little nervous. Since I didn't leave home for college, this will be a big change for me. Still, I am ready for the adventure! I can't wait to learn about y'all while I share my story.
