Hi, classroom! It is almost the end of April, which means my five-month mark from when I first landed in Hong Kong is approaching. I have about two full weeks left in Hong Kong before I go to Japan for a week and then fly back home to California. I am so excited to go back home and see my roommates, friends and family. However, being in Hong Kong was such a privilege, and I feel like it completely changed me as a person. Recently, I have been reflecting on the beginning of my exchange. The change was very difficult and unlike anything I have ever experienced before, but I do not regret this experience at all. Studying abroad was a goal I had before I started university, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you all.

I hope you all enjoyed learning about my experience here. Please feel free to ask me any questions about my exchange, university life, traveling or anything else! A few things I really enjoyed about Hong Kong were the public transportation, island hopping and exploring new parts of the city. The subway system is very efficient, reliable and clean! I wish the U.S. could take some notes on how Hong Kong does it.

One of the biggest reasons I was able to make this trip possible was because of the Gilman Scholarship.
