What's your name?

Rarely, if at all, does anyone use their left hand to interact with others. The thought is that you use your right hand for important tasks like writing and eating, so you should shake someone's hand or greet with your right hand as well. You might be wondering, but what if my right hand is full? In that case, you would cross your right hand over your left hand, and carry on with what you have to do. The last tradition, and one of my favorites to learn about, is day names. The Ashanti people of Ghana most notably use day names, and you will see them used very frequently since they are the largest ethnic group in the country. However, other groups like the Ga people also have their own form of day names. Every day has a corresonding name for both boys and girls. Find out from the list below what your Ghanian name is!
