A Day in Wulai

大家好! I just got back from Wulai, a small town in the mountains. I saw the tallest waterfall in northern Taiwan, and took a gondola to the top! I had a great day exploring in New Taipei.

Wulai town from the bridge—see how it surrounds the river? Wulai is home to the Atayal (pronounced Tayal) people, the 3rd largest indigenous group in Taiwan, and this river is very important to them!
This is Wulai Waterfall, the tallest waterfall in northern Taiwan!

Here is a small shrine we spotted while hiking—over half of the people in Taiwan are Buddhist or Taoist, and there are temples and shrines everywhere
