Hi! My name is Emma Grabenstetter! I just graduated from college at Villanova University, which is close to Philadelphia, a historic city in the state of Pennsylvania. In college, I studied political science, peace and justice, and sustainability. I chose to learn these subjects because that knowledge can best allow me to help other people stay safe, healthy, and happy! I also played water polo in college, a sport that I have loved playing since I was ten years old. When I am not at college, my home is in Santa Barbara, a town in California.

This year I will be living in Malta, which is a small island country off the coast of Sicily, another island which is a part of the European country named Italy. I won a Fulbright award, which means that I will be an English Teaching Assistant in Malta for this school year, working at three different schools in many classrooms and helping to teach English to students in Malta.

After I come home from Malta, I plan to go to law school so I can become a lawyer. I want to be an international humanitarian lawyer, which means I will be able to help people live happy and healthy lives all around the world! Being in Malta will help teach me skills that can help me be the best lawyer I can be. Thank you for following along on my journey of living in Malta as an English Teaching Assistant for the year!
