Flying from Seoul to Jeju Island is the busiest air route in the world. Read more to learn about why people love visiting the beautiful Jeju Island, and what the environment there is like!
What makes this environment special is that it is an island with a volcano! It was formed over two million years ago by volcanic eruptions. Luckily for me and other tourists/residents, the volcano, on top of Mount Halla, is extinct.
Also, Jeju Island has the world's longest lava tube, which is a natural tunnel that is formed when lava solidifies! It is called the Manjanggul Cave. I look forward to visiting the cave when I visit Jeju!
Year-round, the island is much warmer than the rest of Korea, making it a popular tourist destination.
The beautiful views help attract tourists and boost the Jeju economy for people that live there.
Also, access to plentiful amounts of seafood acts as the best food source!
