Hi there! My name is Erica Desjardins. I am 22 years old and I am from Bangor, Maine. Since Maine is the perfect state for nature lovers, I loved spending my time searching for hidden brooks to swim in, or watching the sunrise at four in the morning from a charming mountain situated right on the Atlantic Ocean.
I did not go too far from home during my undergraduate studies--I attended the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, located about twenty minutes from my house. During my studies at UMaine, I developed a strong passion for international relations and languages. I decided to study abroad in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Bulgaria is a very small country in Eastern Europe... can you find it on a map?
I enjoyed my time abroad so much that I decided to apply for the Fulbright Scholarship so that I can puruse a Master's degree abroad. I was fortunate enough to receive the scholarship which permits me to live and study in France now! I am learning so much, and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with you so that you will learn a lot as well!
