My name is Erika I am living in Warsaw, Poland for the next nine months. I am 24 years old and originally from Grove City, Pennsylvania, which has a population of about 8,000 people. Grove City is much smaller than Warsaw, which has nearly two million people! Growing up, my parents exposed my brother and me to the wonders of travel. We were able to host several international students in our home and I learned to appreciate different cultures and became more willing to taste new foods.
I graduated from college two years ago. In college, I studied biomedical engineering, which basically means that I learned how to design different medical devices, and I also decided to study abroad in Poland, where I gained an appreciation for both Polish culture and food--especially the Polish dumplings called pierogis! This experience inspired me to return to Poland, where I now have the opportunity to improve my Polish language skills and explore the culture further.
I look forward to starting this journey with you! Come along to learn all about Poland!
