My favorite performer was Anahí Rayen Mariluan, a Mapuche singer and musician. Anahí sings in the Mapudungun language and plays Mapuche instruments like the ñolkin, kultrun, and cascahuillas.
At a bookshop in Bariloche, I bought a book of Mapuche legends. I am trying to read one book in Spanish every week to keep my Spanish language reading skills strong.
I went on many runs and hikes this week on the trails around Bariloche and Esquel. I love being able to step out my front door and immediately see beautiful trees and mountains! On Sunday, I hiked to the top of Cerro Llao Llao. This hill offers great views of the mountains near Bariloche.
