Today, materials that come from outside Patagonia are also used to create instruments such as the kultrun. Like all traditions, the music traditions of the Mapuche people continue to adapt and change over time as Mapuche people find creative ways to continue their traditions in new settings. The environment around them has changed, but Mapuche people continue to maintain strong relationships with their homelands.
