In Mapudungun, a waterfall is called a trayenko. This word literally means "water that falls" (ko=water; trayen= to fall), which I think is really cool.
Because it is springtime, lots of flowers are blooming. Trevelin, a small town near Esquel, is famous worldwide for its fields of tulipanes, or tulips. People travel from all over the world to pose in the fields of flowers. I personally prefer the local wildflowers, though! Right now there is lots of calafate blooming. These yellow flowers will later turn into tart berries, that are used to make juice, jam and other treats.
