Now that spring has officially begun in Israel, the weather has started to get warmer! During the winter, there were many rainy and cloudy days. However, now that Spring has started, the number of rainy days has lessened.
Like Tel Aviv, Jerusalem does not have much wildlife in the city. While a large part of Israel is open land, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and other major cities do not have the type of environment that is suitable for wildlife or domestic farm animals, such as cows and goats. Therefore, the only animals I saw in Jerusalem were dogs, cats and birds! When the other students and I visited the Christ Church, we saw many stray cats in the courtyard.
Due to the change in weather, the trees and flowers are blossoming! Walking through Jerusalem, we saw many trees and bushes that had the most beautiful and bright flowers. One of my favorite things to do when walking around is seeing the different types of plants that grow throughout Israel.
