But someone I knew told me that their biggest regret was not studying abroad in college, so that got me looking at programs. Now I truly realize what they meant. Studying abroad has changed my life for the better by giving me confidence and inspiration to continue pursuing my dreams. The priceless memories I’ve made during the last 3 months will stick with me forever.
For those of you considering going to college, studying abroad is one of the best possible things you can do. Many colleges offer a variety of different study abroad programs, ranging from just a couple of weeks to months on end. You can choose a program based on what is important to you, whether it be the location or the academic program. Additionally, academic funding resources allow studying abroad to become a possibility for those who wouldn’t initially consider it due to financial constraints. For me, resources like the Gilman Scholarship helped make studying abroad accessible by providing financial support.
I have truly enjoyed sharing as much as I could with you all and getting to know the class. It was quite the privilege being able to write articles for you all. Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful questions and your time, and I hope that by following my journey to Australia, you begin to at least think about the memories you could make on your own adventures, as well as the possibilities that await you in college.
