My Tanzanian friend, Cleophus, listens to him all day long and introduced me to him.
I had a lot of fun going to the market to buy fruit and vegetables. It was an outdoor market. I also bought an avocado that was as big as my head, which is great because avocados are my favorite fruit.
This week I read a book on the Massai people of East Africa. The Massai are a tribe of people who live in Northern Tanzania and Southern Kenya. They dress with a large cloth around their bodies, and men carry a long stick in order to herd their animals.
This week I played basketball with my classmates. They are all very tall and good at making baskets. They were nice enough to teach me how to shoot and pass the ball so I could become a better player.
While at the market, I bought some traditional fabric in order to get clothes made for me. The cool patterns are very colorful. As soon as I pick up my new clothes, I'll be sure to send a photo!
