It is a great way to get connected with the culture because it allows you to meet all of the locals and see what their daily lives are like. The people are very eager to talk, and they often ask me why I'm in Tanzania and where I'm going. I always respond "Mimi ni mwanafunzi, ninkaa RUCU," which means "I am a student at RUCU University" and the people always smile and give me a high-five.
