Hello, everyone! My name is Frida Castro. Let me tell you a little bit about my life before we begin our adventure in Spain together.

I was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and moved to the United States when I was about seven years old. I lived in Nogales, Arizona up until high school. I graduated high school in 2017 and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to continue my studies at Arizona State University, where I am studying Global Studies. Since Nogales is a small town, most of my spare time growing up was spent hanging out with friends by going to each other houses, going out to eat and going to the movies. Moving to a larger city gave me more options. Now I go to museums, restaurants and festivals

College has been a very fun experience so far, and my major in Global Studies has given me of my main reasons to study abroad. My major requires one study abroad experience. I had always wanted to do it during the spring semester, so I thought my third year would be the best time so I could leave my last year at my home school. Choosing a place to study abroad was very difficult because I could not decide where I wanted to go! I had never been outside the United States other than to Mexico, so I was open to going anywhere. After looking at many programs, I found myself deciding between Brazil and Spain.
