Barcelona is a large city with many shops, restaurants and parks. I was not expecting Barcelona to have so many things going on. It is a very popular tourist destination, with numerous attractions for people to visit There are many tourist attractions like Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, the Picasso museu, and Casa Mila, to name a few. I have noticed both similarities and differences between Barcelona and typical cities in the United States.
One of the many differences I have noticed is the type of architecture popular in the city. So many of the buildings here are very old, even from medieval times! Many of them look like castles, and there are not many modern buildings around. Everywhere you go there is a beautiful building to look at. Public transportation is very common here, and people in Barcelona use buses, the metro, taxis, and a sort of Uber. There are not as many cars found here as in cities in the United States. The streets here are also more narrow and most of them are one way, unlike in the U.S. where some roads have even four to six lanes. This is because Barcelona is a very old city, and the roads were created long before cars were invented.
